STARBECK’S SMOKEHOUSE

OVERVIEW

Starbeck’s Smokehouse changed the way the Cedar Valley orders and enjoys barbecue. With meats smoked daily, corporate events catered weekly and a competitive local landscape, Starbeck’s needed something that separated them from other Cedar Valley restaurants.

After a chance encounter at the office, Red Lab won over the Starbeck’s website redesign project. This soon translated into an ongoing partnership with various campaign tactics, including targeted social media ads.

  • Increase user experience of viewing digital menu
  • Increase awareness of daily special options
  • Promote community involvement with local sports teams/family

WEBSITE DESIGN

With the Starbeck’s website redesign, Red Lab reinvented the way a user views menu options and daily specials. The original version of the Starbeck’s website linked to a PDF photocopy of the physical menu, making it difficult to view on all devices—not to mention a major pain to update. Red Lab used the redesign as an opportunity to turn the whole website into a full menu experience. This new approach is now compatible on all devices and highlights options that weren’t seen on the original menu, such as specials and catering options. Plus, Starbeck’s can now make changes on the fly to keep up with their growing popularity.

Red Lab also elevated the Starbeck’s catering service by emphasizing it on the new website. By highlighting testimonials on a dedicated catering landing page, we’ve helped Starbeck’s cement trust and encourage prospective customers to reach out for pricing and menu options.

As a newer restaurant, it was important for Starbeck’s to grow their customer base and increase awareness of their specials and catering options. To engage hungry locals, Red Lab created social media ad kits for Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and Twitter to target “lookalike audiences” and prospective demographics with daily special ads. Additionally, our team used hyper-segmented targeting to reach office admins, managerial staff and event planners with catering options wherever—and whenever—they work.
